Now in its 11th year, the K-LOVE Fan Awards welcomed a large array of artists and creatives to the winner’s circle in 2024. First-time co-hosts Brandon Lake and Sadie Robertson Huff both walked away with statuettes. Nominee leader Lake notched a win in two out of four of his categories, receiving both Male Artist of the Year and Worship Song of the Year honors, with the latter recognizing “Praise You Anywhere.” Robertson took home her second Podcast Impact trophy for her popular “WHOA That’s Good” podcast.
For a fourth consecutive year, for KING + COUNTRY was crowned Artist of the Year, bringing their record-breaking tally to 18 — the most of any artist in K-LOVE Fan Awards history. TobyMac earned his fourth K-LOVE Fan Award, courtesy of fan-voted Song of the Year, “Faithfully.” Zach Williams also garnered his fourth golden ‘K’ — this time for Book Impact, honoring his powerful memoir, “Rescue Story.” Meanwhile, Anne Wilson picked up her third K-LOVE Fan Award when fans named her Female Artist of the Year for the second time since 2022.
After winning Group of the Year — the first award of the evening — Elevation Worship scored the inaugural K-LOVE Fan Award of their tenure; and newcomer Seph Schlueter also left a first-time winner when fans selected “Counting My Blessings” Breakout Single of the Year. While not fan-voted, New England Patriots alum Matthew Slater was presented with the Sports Impact award, which goes to a deserving Christian athlete each year.
2024 proved to be another big year for “The Chosen,” whose theatrical release of Season 4 was awarded Film Impact. In addition, documentary “Jonathan & Jesus” — based on the life and career of “Chosen” lead Jonathan Roumie — won the all-new TV/Streaming Impact accolade.
More than 14 performances lit up the K-LOVE Fan Awards stage with memorable collaborations from Tauren Wells and rapper Davies on “Take It All Back,” Lauren Daigle and Ellie Holcomb on “Be Okay,” Katy Nichole and Naomi Raine on “My God Can,” Rachael Lampa and Andrew Ripp on Song of the Year nominated track “Somebody To You” and Josh Baldwin and Jenn Johnson on “Made For More.” Additionally, Housefires opened the show with double-nominated anthem “I Thank God” with a surprise assist from Blanca and Stephen McWhirter. Wilson, Crowder, CAIN, Elevation Worship, Jeremy Camp, Matthew West and Terrian also brought their recent hits to life on the K-LOVE Fan Awards stage.
Lake gave his electrifying “Count ‘Em” the proper live treatment, but his best performance came in the form of a makeshift writers round he personally curated with Kristian Stanfill (Passion), Chris Brown (Elevation Worship), Raine (Maverick City Music) and Phil Wickham. Together, the five-piece showcased acoustic snippets from one another’s songs, delivering one of the night’s best moments.
Two-time K-LOVE Fan Award winner and former co-host Mandisa, as well as DiverseCity band member Gabe Patillo, were honored in a moving video tribute. Introduced by “American Idol” alumni Colton Dixon and Danny Gokey, the emotional visual was soundtracked by “Goodbye,” an unreleased original song written and recorded by TobyMac for his two friends, who passed away within a week of each other. Moreover, Lake and Robertson enlisted influencer Jimmy Darts to help them bless a family with a $10K donation on behalf of the K-LOVE Fan Awards to aid with medical expenses for their “miracle child,” Lily Grace, whose powerful story was featured during the taping.
For the second year in a row, every vote helped take the Gospel around the world. Thanks to a partnership with Open Eyes, every 100,000 votes unlocked a new level of resources, supplies and transportation that will be dispatched to the organization’s “mobile messengers,” who are equipped and sent to remote villages to tell others about the life-saving hope of Jesus.
Ahead of the red-carpet worthy ceremony at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House, fans were treated to a full weekend of festivities. MercyMe headlined Friday night’s Kick-Off Concert. Jon Reddick, Brandon Heath and Steven Curtis Chapman returned as hosts of this year’s Worship in the Round, Emerging Artist Showcase and Songwriters Showcase, respectively. Benjamin and Kirsten Watson invited K-LOVE listeners to a live taping of their podcast, AccessMore’s “Why or Why Not with the Watsons,” and Crowder gave fans an early preview of his new album, “The EXILE.” To cap the pre-show experience, Wells and Elevation Worship teamed up to lead Sunday Morning Worship.
The 11th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards aired exclusively on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) on Friday, May 31, and is available on the TBN app. The show is slated for an encore performance on Friday, June 7 at 8 p.m. ET.
