Jeanice Lee talks to Mike Johnson, CEO of Yakima Union Gospel Mission. Johnson says their mission is to help people move from homelessness to wholeness. Johnson says they are the “due over family” to help people who have experienced trauma that has led them to homelessness to learn to thrive in the community and shine the light of Jesus. He talks about their services such as shelter, meals, recovery, dental clinic, and a medical clinic which is the largest medical clinic in WA state. Services are available in Spanish. They have thrift stores and welcome volunteers. Learn more (yugm.org) or call 509.248.4510.
