Jack Church spoke with Eileen Smith, Executive Director for the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry in Gainesville, Virginia. Smith said the pantry serves a large portion of Prince William County including the communities of Haymarket, Gainesville, and Manassas. Despite the county having a median household income of over 100k per year, working families are having a hard time making ends meet and are turning to the food pantry for help. Last year alone Smith said the pantry served almost 40 thousand people and distributed close to one half million pounds of food.
