Jeanice Lee talks to Gloria Hatcher-Mays, Executive Director of the Rainer Valley Food Bank. The food bank distributes 1.5+ million pounds of food to 18+ thousand individuals. Each week about 900 households join for in-person shopping. They offer pop-up grocery markets where people can shop for their own food on Wednesdays and Fridays. Home delivery is available on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Hatcher-Mays says they work with schools to offer free weekend food for kids. Beyond food, they have numerous other programs and services. They commit to no barriers for people needing access to food. Volunteers welcome. (rvfb.org)
