Peter Kaye speaks with Evelyn Abreu, director of Miracle Mile Ministries, an outreach of four local churches spearheading a strategic response to the 2 square mile area on the south end of Boston that they call “Miracle Mile” but is better known as “Methadone Mile” due to the rampant drug use and homelessness that is seen there. Abreau gives a behind the scenes look at the shattered lives that are being mended one individual at a time through a weekly Saturday breakfast and clothing event. She addresses common misconceptions regarding the homeless and encourages involvement and prayer for those in need.
