Jeanice Lee talks to Dr. Sylvia Kotikian, Emergency Department Medical Director at Adventist Health Glendale. Dr. Kotikian shares the impact that the L.A. wildfires can have on people due to the poor air quality. She gives advice on how people should protect themselves even though they may not be smelling smoke. Dr. Kotikian advises people to pay attention to their daily living and to seek medical attention if they are feeling short of breath or struggling mentally. She also suggests wearing a N95 mask, using the circulating air filter in cars, air purifiers and to limit outdoor activities. (LACity.gov)
