Peter Kaye speaks with Willie Perez, Team Director with Cru Inner City NYC, a local nonprofit organization helping connect, equip, and empower churches across the five boroughs to better address the needs of the community. Perez shares how working with over one hundred churches in the Big Apple, needs are being met and comradery is being built between churches and the community. He discusses the increase in homelessness and speaks to common misconceptions regarding those affected. Perez also shares how a New York City church is coming alongside individuals coming out of incarceration and reintegrating into society.
