New act We The Kingdom serves up their latest release with a simple, yet powerful, nod to perhaps the most well-known verse in all of Scripture.
"For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." -John 3:16 NLT
The rhythmic "God So Loved" encapsulates the beauty of the Gospel message and concludes with the familiar refrain of the traditional "Doxology." Two years in the making, this song has been a labor of love for the family band that includes respected songwriter and producer Ed Cash, his brother Scott, daughter Franni, son Martin and friend Andrew Bergthold. While the group has been refining this track through various iterations for years, they feel they've finally landed on the musical version that best represents the diverse, vibrant, creative, and profound love of God. Meanwhile, the song's colorful accompanying lyric video provides a stunning visual that literally takes listeners around the world, highlighting different countries and cultures united by the love of Christ.
"Each culture, each people group, and each person is so deeply loved by our God," We The Kingdom collectively shared on Instagram. "Our prayer today is that we would all recognize and stand in absolute awe of the image of God inside each person that we meet. God is amazing. His love is amazing. His people are amazing. Praise God, praise God from Whom all blessings flow… We pray that you are encouraged as you listen and that you know that you are so deeply loved by God."
"God So Loved" follows the group's No. 1 hit, "Holy Water," which serves as the title track of We The Kingdom's recently released full-length debut.
