Bringing a little Dan + Shay vibe to Christian music, fresh duo Caleb & John debut “Hallelujah Feeling.” The upbeat track is the first single to bow from the newly minted pop-worship outfit made up of Caleb Crino and John Secker.

The hook-driven “Hallelujah Feeling” is based on Romans 15:13: “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
“I remember going into write the song. We had this idea of a ‘hallelujah feeling,’ but personally, I was not having a great day. But we got these verses that went: ‘Some days I climb the mountains. Some days I touch the clouds. Some days my best friend has been the cold, hard ground,’” John says. “God really used that to just remind me that our joy doesn’t have to be based upon our circumstances.”
“We love that hallelujah is more than a feeling. It’s the joy of the Lord, something anyone can have when they know Jesus,” Caleb adds. “We are praying that this song encourages you so much!”
The two friends, who only met and started their musical act 12 months ago, instantly gelled despite the fact that they come from entirely different backgrounds and musical preferences. Caleb, who plays keys on the road for Sam Hunt, contributes electric hints of country to the duo’s sound. Meanwhile, John, who’s previously backed Katy Nichole on guitar, brings a subtle acoustic-pop sensibility to their dynamic instrumentation. Together, their harmonies merge across massive choruses, as evidenced by “Hallelujah Feeling.”
“People ask us all the time if we’re lifelong friends or brothers (We even got asked if we were twins recently!). When God has a purpose and a plan for your life, things just fall into place,” Caleb & John collectively insist of their unique relationship. “We already do feel like we’ve been friends forever and are so excited to keep walking through this crazy adventure God has for us! We can’t wait to share some of the new things we’ve been working on soon.”
