“I was at an all-time low after losing my father, my mother, and then my brother Jay, who played bass in Big Daddy Weave,” shares Big Daddy Weave frontman Mike Weaver. “Then the thought came to me, ‘What is it like for someone who doesn’t know about heaven?’ Because we have the hope of heaven, and because Jesus said heaven is right here inside of our hearts, it changes everything about the way we see life now and the way we see life in the future. I love that when I think about heaven, everything shifts and is put into perspective. I’m so thankful that heaven changes everything.”
Co-written by Weaver, Matthew West and Jeff Pardo, “Heaven Changes Everything” is the follow-up to “God Is In This Story,” the outfit’s chart-topping duet with Katy Nichole, which they performed together live at the 2023 K-LOVE Fan Awards. The mid-tempo selection is anchored in the peace of 1 Thessalonians 4:13: “And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope.” Their brand new radio offering also leads the award-winning band’s forthcoming studio effort.
This summer, Big Daddy Weave is slated to continue their headlining “Only The Beginning Tour” with special guests Hannah Kerr and The Young Escape.
