Katy Nichole just became the first new artist in 19 years to see her debut single rise to the summit of Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart in a mere 12 weeks, marking the fastest trip to the top of any prior female artist in the chart’s nearly two-decade history. The song, of course, is “In Jesus Name (God of Possible),” whose chorus became a viral TikTok smash before Nichole ever officially released the track.

The record-breaking ballad also currently sits atop Billboard’s AC Indicator chart and Hot Christian Songs chart, where it has reigned for six weeks and counting. In addition, “In Jesus Name (God of Possible)” has held steady at No. 1 on iTunes’ Christian & Gospel chart for a dozen weeks.
The unprecedented impact of the powerful song has propelled Nichole into high-profile performance slots, filling up the remainder of her 2022 calendar with more than 70 concerts, including appearances at Alive Fest, SoulFest and Rock The Smokies, as well as dates with Big Daddy Weave and Zach Williams, among others. Moreover, it was also just announced that she’ll join the “K-LOVE Presents LIVE at Red Rocks” lineup on Aug. 4, which also features TobyMac, Danny Gokey, Jordan Feliz, Dante Bowe and Cochren & Co.
Recently named a “YouTube Trending Artist on the Rise,” Nichole was a surprise guest at this year’s annual “Good Friday Nashville” event hosted by Chris Tomlin and broadcast worldwide on a livestream from a packed Bridgestone Arena. Nichole took the stage after a meaningful message from Max Lucado. Following the performance of her signature single, Chris Tomlin remarked, “God is using her voice and song to share a powerful message for the Church.”
“In Jesus Name (God of Possible)” serves as the lead track from the 21-year-old’s forthcoming debut EP, set to release in June. The introductory project will feature additional songs culled from Nichole’s personal journal entries as she shares her struggles, many of which stem from chronic health issues. “In Jesus Name (God of Possible)” was written after she experienced healing from scoliosis following multiple surgeries and years of debilitating pain.
