TobyMac serves up a hefty dose of swagger on summertime single “Nothin’ Sweeter.” The new sonic confection unwraps the consummate treat as the hitmaker returns with his first taste of new music following his acclaimed studio effort, “Life After Death,” which notched five No. 1s, including 2024 K-LOVE Fan Awards Song of the Year, “Faithfully.”

Fueled by the same pop sensibilities the chart-topping artist has perfected over the course of his nearly four-decade career, “Nothin’ Sweeter” acknowledges the push and pull of the human existence. Through all of the inevitable peaks and valleys, however, Toby is more sure than ever before that God’s love is the sweetest gift life has to offer.

“I’ve had some of the most amazing times that one could ever have on this Earth, and I’ve also walked through some things that have hit me very hard,” Toby shares of the inspiration for the fresh track. “I don’t think we’re that different from one another in that we all experience some beauty and some things that leave us utterly confused and deeply hurting. I wrote ‘Nothin’ Sweeter’ because I have been uptown and downtown; I have seen the good of this life and the sorrow by the bitter graveside; and I’ve landed on this: There is nothin’ sweeter in this life than the love of God. It’s what I want to wake up to and what I go to bed to — there’s nothin’ sweeter than His unfailing love.”

The award winner recently headlined “K-LOVE Live in Honolulu,” which was the first Christian concert to happen on the Hawaiian Islands since 2019. Furthermore, the date marked TobyMac’s debut performance in Hawaii, crossing off the 50th and final state he’s played in the U.S. across his impressive tenure.

Following select festival dates this summer, TobyMac will take “Nothin’ Sweeter” to audiences this fall as he tours alongside MercyMe and Zach Williams.
