“The Chosen” picked up a second trophy for Film/Television Impact at the 10th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards. The series nabbed its first win back in 2021. This time around, the wildly popular television show, based on the life and ministry of Jesus, took home top honors for its Season 3 finale. Series creator and director Dallas Jenkins and actors Abe Bueno-Jallad (James) and George Xanthis (John) accepted the award on behalf of the cast and crew.

The accolade recognized one of the series’ most ambitious episodes to date — episode 8, the final installment of Season 3 that featured the story of the little boy’s meager lunch consisting of a few loaves and fish. “The Chosen’s” epic depiction of Jesus miraculously feeding the 5,000 from that little boy’s lunch involved four days of filming and 12,000 extras, most of whom contributed to the show’s crowd-funding efforts.
Voters turned out in droves to cast their ballot in favor of “The Chosen,” the only television series represented in a category otherwise filled with film nominees this year. “Voting for ‘The Chosen’ was a no brainer,” shared one fan on social media. Another commented, “‘The Chosen’ is above and beyond the most impactful thing for the Gospel out there. Simply amazing.” Still another remarked, “How could I not vote for a series that changed my life? Voted with lots of love!”
