Fruit of the Spirit: Faithfulness

God is always faithful. He never lies, and you can always count on him. People aren’t always so reliable, but God can grow the fruit of Christ-like faithfulness in all who put their faith in Him.

Father, I thank you that I have been made holy through the shed blood of your Son, Jesus Christ, at the Cross. Establish my family and me in faithfulness to your Word. May we be kept blameless in every way through the help of your Holy Spirit. Amen.

A Prayer For Thessalonians 5:23-24

Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful.

Lord, you promised to preserve the faithful, not letting them come to ruin. Teach me to be faithful. Teach me to be full of courage, standing for what is good and right in your eyes. Help me stand against the enemy’s schemes, guarding my mind and heart against the things that would compromise my relationship with you.

A Prayer For Proverbs 31:22

In panic, I cried out, “I am cut off from the Lord!” But you heard my cry for mercy and answered my call for help.

God, your word declares that anyone trusted with something must be faithful. I ask you today to give me the wisdom to be faithful in the small things so that I can be trusted with greater things. Help me hold fast to the ways that are good and right. May I be worthy of the calling you have placed upon me as your child. Amen.

A Prayer For 1 Corinthians 4:2

Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful.

Heavenly Father, you are always faithful to us. Your Word shows us time and again that You are faithful even when we are not. We confess we are a faithless people. We are prone to wander. Forgive us, Lord. Teach us what it means to be faithful to You, to You, and Your Word. Amen.

A Prayer For 2 Timothy 2:13

If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.

Jesus, help me serve you faithfully and care for those around me; May I not just give lip service but be truthful in my endeavors. I pray that I act as your true representative in every way here on earth. Amen.

A Prayer For Psalm 37:5

Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.

Faithful God, thank you for keeping your promises. Thank you that you show mercy to me even when I make the same mistakes. Be with me and help me to keep your commandments. Amen.

A Prayer For Deuteronomy 7:9

Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.

Father in Jesus’ name, I surrender my boyfriend/husband to you this day, asking that you help him stay faithful. I am not unaware of the devices of the enemy to lure him into sinful behaviors. Lord, grant him victory over his flesh. Amen.

A Prayer For Proverbs 4:27

Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.

Jesus, help me get my focus back on you. I know I need to stop dwelling on my past hurts and frustrations. Help me be faithful in prayer and put my hope in you. May the Holy Spirit guide, comfort, and strengthen me to accomplish all that you have for me today. Amen.

A Prayer For Philippians 3:13-14

Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
