“We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in His love. God is love,
and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.” – 1 John 4:16 (NLT)
Have you ever felt frustrated, confused or anxious because nothing ever stays the same in your life? I’ve felt this way too many times to count.
If I’m being honest, sometimes my heart can grow numb because so many negative changes have affected me over time. How great would it be to have just one thing that remained the same? Think about the soul-anchoring benefits of having something personal and meaningful to you that always remains unchanged. My friend, look no further, because the steadfast love of God is what you and I truly need.
A common and everyday human experience is the desire to connect with a person who truly understands you at your core. In those internal moments of longing for relationship and connection, you need to know that God is that special person for you. The assurance that He not only knows every detail about you, but is completely devoted to you and me, flaws and all, allows the soul to rest in indescribable peace. His identity is selfless and expressive perfect love that is completely committed to you no matter what. The consistency of God’s love, knowing you in your entirety, and delighting in you like a good father with his children, provides a priceless solace beyond measure.
So, as you journey through all the unpredictability that this world has to offer, consider God’s commitment to you. Look to Jesus and trust in His faithful love. He is the One Foundation that can’t be shaken. It’s natural to seek security in a million other things, but I believe that you will choose the most secure path. Are you shaken? Are you hurting? Friend, God Almighty loves you. His identity is unwavering, and He is the one person that you can fully trust.
“The steadfast love of God is what you and I truly need.”

Father, I am grateful for the depth of Your love that You have for me. You really do love me with all Your heart, and I am so grateful for the blood of Jesus poured out for the forgiveness of all my sins.
