Two major developments to pass along from the National Hurricane Center.
Tropical Storm Imelda has formed just off the Texas coast, and is expected to bring heavy rain and flooding. As of 12:00-noon Central Time, Imelda was 55 miles southwest of Galveston, moving north at 7 mph and will move inland. Deeper local information: Houston area
And in the Atlantic, a tropical depression, now known as TD10, should reach tropical storm force soon and then mature into a full hurricane. Its general direction may pose a threat to the Caribbean, with risk to the U.S. Southeast uncertain at this time.
