Youth Pastor Will Standridge from Amarillo, Texas was worried too many students were leaving the Christian faith. So, he challenged them to read, or ‘shred’ the Bible in 66 days over-the-summer and build a stronger relationship with Jesus.

“Once young people lose that original interest in Christ, it takes a lot to bring them back into the fold,” says Pastor Will. He believes not getting the right answers to their questions can lead students to quitting their faith all together.

Pastor Will says if they can instill in young people a faith in God’s inerrant inspired Word and the Gospel that’s contained in there, they’re setting students up to be able to deal with any situation that that comes their way in life.

And his efforts are paying off. At least 30 young people have taken up the challenge, and a chance to grow deeper in their faith with God.
