Jessica Hottle turned her mess into a message and has made it her mission to help others do the same.

Jessica is a successful Pittsburgh-based life coach, podcast host, author, and entrepreneur, but her life did not start out that way.

As a Certified Christian Life Coach, she knows about the trials and struggles people might face all too well.

Early on, Jessica was met with poverty, alcoholism, and abuse within her own life. She knew very soon that she could easily become a lost, hopeless, and misguided soul in this world, however, she never let that happen.

By age 22, Jessica says she was taught about Jesus at a time in which she still did not know if she was ready to leave behind the world that she knew— a world that was not being lived for to honor the Lord.

“It was a very slow redemption for me and kind of this healing process,” Jessica says. “But once I really allowed the Lord to come in, he just started cleaning up shop,” she says.

Much like many redemption stories, Jessica says that her hidden pain, resentment, bitterness, and anger slowly started to become wiped away as she came to know Jesus and His plans for her life.

Now, she is walking alongside you and your traumas through a unique program.

What is a Certified Christian Life Coach?

Jessica helps her patients navigate whatever they might be going through by addressing their past, present, and future. These types of coaches seek to help people set and reach goals that align with the life God has called them to.

“The foundational question that we often spend many hours working through is ‘who do I believe God is?’” Jessica explains.

She wants to allow her clients to become comfortable in their pain and realize that it is not because God is mad or angry at you, but that your pain will have a greater purpose in the future. She also takes pride in being real with her clients and never shying away from having tough conversations that reveal how a person might truly feel, while also not using the Gospel to dismiss pain.

“We often use scriptures as a (bandage) when somebody's in pain and that doesn't really solve anything, she says. “It actually leaves people more in pain or confused,” Hottle continues.

Hottle shares all about these tips and more through her podcast, Untangle Your Thoughts

Using Christmas lights as a metaphor, she says that her podcast is all about teaching you skills on how to work backwards through trauma-related thoughts, that will ultimately turn into something beautiful and luminous.

How do you know if a Certified Christian Coach is meant for you?

Jessica says it’s simple. You simply cannot do this life alone, so never feel that you must.

“I think more than anything, you probably have felt called on to take a step, but it's that courage in you that you need to be able to take that next step,” Jessica explains. She encourages people to hold onto the courage to take that leap and start a journey with someone who is equipped to help.

People who are thinking about seeking the guidance of a Certified Christian Coach, can follow along with Jessica.

“Something I always tell my clients is that pain is a place of visitation, not a place of habitation,” Jessica says.
