(Riverside, CA) Raised by his grandparents while his mom was out partying and living for the world, Pastor Greg Laurie was on his way to buy drugs in high school when he encountered the life-changing message of Jesus.

Radically changed, Greg Laurie is the founding pastor of the Harvest Churches in California and Hawaii.

He also founded the Harvest Crusades 35 years ago and has watched 600,000 people receive salvation over the years.

Pastor Greg is also an author, a movie producer (his most recent movie, Jesus Revolution, is available worldwide) and has just released an animated series.

He knows that people tend to have high expectations of pastors.

"They're expected to be a scholar, a counselor. Most of the pastors I know want to be that but they fall short at times. They aren't able to do it all themselves and it's very important for pastors to learn to raise up others to assist them and not try do everything yourself."

Curious about how to encourage your pastor?

"Just a few words would go a long way. You know, maybe after church walk up to your pastor and say, 'I really loved your message and here's what I loved in particular."
