(Houston, TX) - Rosemary Tucker is a woman of great faith. When her daughter, Dyanna DeNae, needed brain surgery, Rosemary made God a promise.

"I basically went to Jesus and said, 'Father God, if you heal my daughter... I'll serve Your children every Sunday until you come.'"

She's kept that promise.

Rosemary's daughter is now thriving in nursing school and Rosemary was inspired to start the Houston non-profit Hoodies4Healing in 2019. With the sales of brightly colored hoodies, Rosemary has been able to use the proceeds to finance a large weekly meal for people on the streets of Houston.

Every Sunday without fail since March of 2020, Rosemary Tucker and the volunteers from Hoodies4Healing serve a healthy, nutritious meal to hundreds of hungry, homeless Houstonians.

So far, they've served over 70,000 hot meals.

Rosemary says, "These are God's children--these are our brothers and sisters."

And the reaction?

"It's been overwhelming. The support--a lot of smiles, hugs, a lot of 'Ms. Rosemary, I got an apartment. Ms. Rosemary, I got a car.' It's just like being at a family reunion every Sunday. You don't know who is gonna come but you know there's gonna be a lot of people."

Counting on God's goodness, Rosemary can't wait to see how she can continue to serve Him.

"Baby, when you ask God for abundance and overflow and more open doors, when He sends them, you be ready for them and you don't take them for granted."

Hoodies4Healing serves meals every Sunday from 8:30-10:30am Central at 95 North Hamilton St., right across from the Star of Hope (1811 Ruiz St, Houston, TX 77002) in the adjacent parking lot, rain or shine.
