Founded nearly 2 decades ago, The Hands and Feet Project’s mission is to fight for vulnerable children and come alongside vulnerable families who have been subjected to poverty, poor healthcare, and other disparities in Haiti.

The organization was founded by several members of the Christian Rock band, Audio Adrenaline, who are famously known for their song of the same name, Hands and Feet

“Back then we were really searching for something greater to do with our platform rather than swinging our hair around and jumping off my base amp.,” says co-founder Will McGinniss.

The organization continues to bring families back together that have been separated. The Children's Village was created within the organization for parents that just couldn't care for all their children due to the poor economy and large families. Many times, parents either end up passing from problems such as malnutrition or medical needs. The goal has been to break that cycle since 2004.

The program is promoting conversations about the Gospel as well as immersing children in worship music.

“It's not about what you do for the poor, but what the poor do for you,” McGinniss says. “Hanging out and spending time with the poor, having a cultural experience, and getting to go and walk alongside people of a different culture is the heartbeat of Hands and Feet Project,” he adds.

And now, many here in the U.S. can also take part in the movement.

On Saturday, November 23 local churches and leaders in the San Antonio, TX community are coming together to provide a free concert experience. The event will be held at La Vernia City Park at 6:00 p.m.

Hosted by the La Vernia Ministerial, local churches across all denominations will be in attendance to help bring this life to night. The live music lineup will include Christian artists and bands such as Jarrell, Abandon, and the 2014 members of Audio Adrenaline.

“I just want a new generation of music lovers and believers to carry on the mission and understand what it's all about,” says event organizer and band member, Josh Engler.

The hope is to gather as many people as possible to be a part of a new wave of the Hands and Feet Project while also rocking out to your favorite worship artists and songs.

“We were people who God just gave us a talent, gave us a place to use it and we wanted to proclaim him greatly,” says McGinniss.
