A California mother got an awkward text message asking if her son, Peyton, would be interested in becoming a Marine after he graduates from high school. It was awkward because Peyton is special needs. But mom, Jennifer Carr-Forman, texted the recruiter back and explained the circumstances.
Staff Sergeant Anthony Sandoval completely understood, and then asked if Peyton would appreciate some Marine stickers and a USMC t-shirt? But instead of mailing the fun items, Sgt. Sandoval brought them to Peyton, in person!
A very above-and-beyond gesture. Peyton and family were most appreciative.
Semper fi!
