Celebration time!

The "Foar Brothers" rowing team, including Thomas Hamilton, Timothy Hamilton, Trent Hamilton from Xenia, Ohio, and their nephew, Ben Clark, completed the 3,000-mile World's Toughest Row today as they reached Antigua. In all, they rowed continuously for 37 days, 10 hours and 55 minutes after leaving the tip of Africa. Their time placed the Foar Brothers in third place--and the highest finish from an American team.

From World's Toughest Row/Foar Brothers/Facebook:

Today on Friday 19 January at 15:12 local time, the three brothers Tim, Trent and Thomas Hamilton (USA) together with their nephew Ben Hamilton-Clark crossed the finish line in English Harbour, Antigua after 37 days 10 hours and 55 minutes. Family and friends from USA were awaiting the team, together with a great crowd at Nelson’s Dockyard. When asked about their experience on the Atlantic, Ben said, “Its been pretty cool. I’ve never known my uncles like that before. I got to know them pretty well and I love them all the more.”??

From the start of the race, the four men chose a more northerly route but later in the race they came towards Antigua fast enough to become the third boat in - even without having any intention to race!??

From the start the goal and agreement onboard was something else than winning. Trent said, “We made a commitment that we would love each other, put each other first, to always believe the other one was giving everything they had and always forgive. It did not matter when we got here and how fast.” Skipper Tim added, “We are so grateful to our wifes and kids and our parents. So many friends have been following and so many people we don’t even know. It’s been amazing.”????

Team Foar Brothers have been raising money and awareness for the charity SEND RELIEF - Afghanistan Refugee and raised more than 36,800 US. A charity that means a lot for the team as the ‘on land’ brother Troy has spent more than a decade living in Afghanistan running various NGOs.

Congratulations to team Foar Brothers!??
