Sadie Robertson Huff’s life has been changing at a rapid pace. She married Christian Huff in 2019 and became a mother to Honey James Huff this year. Why Honey? The name comes from Sadie’s appreciation of Proverbs 16:24, “Kind words are like honey— sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.” (NLT)

Has marriage and motherhood changed the way Sadie thinks about life and God? She says, yes, it “just allowed me to see God in a more powerful real way. You know, God is a God of love, and he’s kind, he’s forgiving, and he’s gracious…and then, when you become a wife and you become a mom, you get to really see those things played out.”

In everyday life, when faced with the need to forgive or deal with a situation, “whenever you’re rooted in the Lord, and you say (to yourself), ‘I was loved first (by God). I was given grace first. I was forgiven first. I needed forgiveness at one point. I needed grace. I needed to show love,'” that helps Sadie offer grace to others. She explains this has helped her grow and mature, “a lot.”

Knowing God has given her a major influencer role, she asks the Lord, “help me to use this on purpose for a purpose. Help me to not just say words, but say words that matter. Not just have a following, but to actually lead well. And I believe every single person has that opportunity to work out what God has given them - and look at the place that they are” and ask God “this is what you’ve been giving me, now how do I use it for your glory and how do I use it to love people well?”

And now Sadie is sharing what she has experienced and learned in a new devotional, “Live on Purpose,” which contains daily biblical encouragements “for letting go of fear and following God.”

Sadie knows that many people often wonder, “Why am I here? What’s my purpose?” In our podcast below, she has a simple – yet powerful - answer to that mental dilemma. You’ll also hear her caution that there’s a real devil who wants to prevent you from being everything God wants for you. And you’ll learn about what Sadie calls the “Crazy Train” and why it’s vital to listen when trusted people tell you that something is ‘off’ in your behavior or life. She’ll also mention another book project coming out in 2022.
