We have some exciting news to share! In 2016, we were graciously gifted a donation to purchase 3000 acres of property in the beautiful Pocono Mountains. For the past 5 years, we have been praying, dreaming, and listening to God for how this extraordinary gift could be used for His kingdom through the TTF ministry. We are thrilled to introduce you to Rising Light Ridge, a fully accessible recreational, learning, and ministry facility where participants of all backgrounds and abilities, and their families, can grow in Christ and love for others! The vision for this year-round ministry center is that Rising Light Ridge will be an expression of TTF’s many initiatives, united in a place of community, belonging, and hope.
Rising Light Ridge will be a place where all are welcome in a community of belonging where guests of all backgrounds and abilities, and their families, can experience Faith, Hope and Love in an environment that celebrates each guest’s unique abilities as well as the characteristics that unite us all as God’s image bearers.
Rising Light Ridge will seek to expand the conversation around special needs beyond the current interpretation focused on physical and cognitive challenges, to include socio-economic, relational and traumatic challenges. We will serve guests of all backgrounds and abilities.
Respite Care
Rising Light Ridge will be more than a camp and retreat center. It will be a place where the parents and siblings of our guests with physical, cognitive, emotional, socio-economic and traumatic challenges will be cared for, loved on, encouraged and refreshed. Our Respite Care Center will provide an opportunity for families to have their own experiences, enjoying beautiful surroundings and activities designed to allow for relaxation and foster connections with each other. The parents and siblings will experience a time of physical, spiritual and emotional renewal while their child is enjoying their experience at Rising Light Ridge.
Summer Camps
Rising Light Ridge will offer week long rustic camping experiences for participants of all abilities and backgrounds camping together—serving each other and learning from each other with a focus on celebrating those things that unite us as children of God and His image bearers
Weekend Retreats
Building upon the foundation of our residential camping sessions, our weekend retreats will be highly impactful 3 day experiences packed with adventures and fun. These retreats will occur during the Spring and Fall months preceding and following our Summer residential camping weeks. More information regarding specific programming and timing will be coming soon.
