Eight days after missionaries Davy and Natalie Lloyd, a married couple in their early 20s, were killed by Haitian gang members, their remains have been returned to America.
People lined the streets in the small community of Neosho, Missouri, to honor them.
Natalie's father, a Missouri lawmaker, shared his appreciation on X (Twitter):
The missionary couple served with Missions in Haiti
"We started Missions in Haiti in 2000 with the purpose of setting Haiti on a different course. We aim to accomplish this by targeting the country's biggest need—its children. Although the entire nation is steeped in poverty, the children suffer the worst. Thousands are malnourished, uneducated, and headed for hopeless lives apart from Christ."
From Ben Baker on X (Twitter): "Praise God! Natalie and Davy’s remains have landed safely at the Kansas City airport, and are en route back to Clark Funeral Home in Neosho! There is a police escort from the airport for Natalie, Davy, and the family back from Kansas City. Funeral arrangements will be as follows- Visitation will be Monday from 3-7 pm, and the Memorial Service will be at 10 am on Tuesday. There will be a live stream link posted for those not able to attend. The location will be Bible Holiness Assembly of God in Neosho on 906 N Summit Street." -Ben Baker, Naomi Baker
