The story of the gospel is the story of eternal life. My life is unique and will endure eternally in God’s presence. I will never be "no more." I will never be lost because I will be with the One who saves me. - Ravi Zacharias, Seeing Jesus from the East (Zondervan, 2020)
Those taking part in the memorial celebration include: Tim Tebow, Pastors Lou Giglio, Jim Cymbala – Musical artists Matt Redman, Lecrae
Zacharias passed away May 19th after a short battle with cancer at the age of 74. He was born in Chennai, India, later moving to Canada and then the United States. His full name was Frederick Antony Ravi Kumar Zacharias.
In August 1984, Ravi Zacharias International Ministries was founded in Toronto, Canada, to pursue his calling as a "classical evangelist in the arena of the intellectually resistant." Today its headquarters are located in the suburbs of Atlanta. – Wikipedia
An incredible image below! During several visits to Louisiana State Penitentiary (known as Angola), Zacharias spoke with prisoners who were asking the question, "Does God exist?" Inmates at Angola—the largest maximum security prison in the U.S.—make caskets for other inmates who cannot afford to purchase one, and they have made the one in which Zacharias will be buried.

Here’s what’s being released about the Friday celebration:
Zacharias’ RZIM ministry explains his determination, “Ravi’s heart was people. His passion and life’s work centered on helping people understand the beauty of the gospel message of salvation. Our prayer is that, at his passing, more people will come to know the saving grace found in Jesus through Ravi’s legacy and the global team at Ravi Zacharias International Ministries.”
Background: When former skeptic and seventeen-year-old Ravi Zacharias heard the words of Jesus in John 14:19, “Because I live, you also will live,” the trajectory of his life changed forever. In a time of helplessness and unbelief—when he was on a bed of suicide—the truth of Scripture brought hope to Zacharias, and he committed his life to Christ, promising, “I will leave no stone unturned in my pursuit of truth.” Earlier in John 14, Jesus says, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.” This verse became the cornerstone of Zacharias’s ultimate mission as a Christian apologist and evangelist: to present and defend the truth of Jesus Christ that others might find life in Him. – Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM)
