Craig Groeschel's Leadership Podcast: "Don’t Just Write Off 2020 As Challenging Or Damaging"

Last month, we started a two-part teaching on defeating the enemies of growth. I mentioned that if you’re not working intentionally to grow, you’re unintentionally moving toward decline. 

But the other day, someone said, “Is this really a time to be thinking about growth? I’m thinking about staying afloat!” 

It’s true. For some industries—like ministry, the area I’m in as a pastor—this year has been hard. Norms have changed. Baselines have moved. 

But growth is a mindset. It always applies. 

Especially in the hard seasons. 

Today, we’ll talk about the last three enemies of growth. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by this year, I’d challenge you to listen with a different perspective. Don’t just write off 2020 as “challenging” or “damaging.” 

Instead, try to see this year through a growth mindset (mindset is one of the things I talk about in today’s episode). The situations we face in leadership will always be hard, but a growth mindset will always help you find the solution. - Pastor Craig Groeschel, Life.Church
