(TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA) -- God did something amazing last fall at Auburn University's Neville Arena. And more stops ahead.

It all started with the earnest prayers of Tonya Prewett, the wife of Coach Chad Prewett, Auburn's assistant basketball coach.

"In January of 2023 I was mentoring college students, just hearing one story after another of girls who were battling a lot of anxiety and depression and probably after the sixth girl that I talked to, I literally--I was having lunch--I pushed my chair in and said 'no more.' I will do something about this. I want to help college students and help spread revival around college campuses and see these students come out of this pain and anxiety and addiction, suicidal thoughts. And I knew the answer was prayer. So all I knew to do was pray," Tonya shared.

Tonya started a Bible study with five girls and within a month, 200 were attending.

God heard Tonya's prayers and within six weeks, the idea for Unite: Auburn was born.

Thousands of young people gathered at Auburn's Neville Arena in September of 2023 with performances by Christian worship band Passion and speakers like Jennie Allen and Rev. Jonathan Pokluda, lead pastor of Harris Creek Baptist Church in Waco, Texas.

When one person asked to be baptized after the event, thousands of young people all headed to the nearest lake in a show of solidarity. Hundreds more made the decision to publicly show their dedication to Jesus by being baptized in the same lake.

After Auburn University students responded in a big way to Jesus, Unite traveled to Florida State University, known for it's "party school" reputation.

A thousand young people received Jesus and hundreds were baptized in Westcott Fountain, a place known for dunking young people as a rite of passage.

According to their website, uniteusmovement.com, Unite says that every gathering has three main objectives: salvation through Jesus Christ, freedom from sin and burdens and community and discipleship through the local church.
