In the past fiscal year from September 2020 to August 2021, FCA saw 16,838 total faith decisions through its various Camps, Huddles, Fields of Faith events, and other opportunities. This staggering number reveals the desire in many coaches and athletes to have a relationship with their Savior—something that FCA is dedicated to foster.
“As we reflect on the birth of our Savior, we are reminded at what Jesus has done with FCA and are so thankful for the 16,000 student-athletes who came to know Him this year through the ministry,” said FCA President and CEO Shane Williamson.
FCA can now capture more faith decisions through a new Faith Response Tool, a texting system that will allow FCA staff, coaches and athletes to share these significant, life-changing decisions. This system provides FCA with the opportunity to not only get an idea of their impact around the globe, but also allows for an initial contact between the organization and the young follower of Christ.
“For 67 years, it has been FCA’s priority to make Jesus known throughout the world,” Williamson said. “As Christmas approaches, we have a wonderful gift to give to our coaches and athletes: the hope and truth of Christ through His everlasting Word!”
FCA’s theme for 2021 is Pursue, based on 1 Timothy 6:11: “Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.” FCA encourages its members to pursue God’s use of His Word as an anchor, grounding Christians as they look to His Kingdom. FCA’s new theme for 2022 will be unveiled on January 5!
