“Since our very first year in 2015, Night to Shine has always been one of my favorite nights of the year and one of my favorite things we get to do at TTF. As I reflect on this year's celebration, it again reminded me of the wonderful work God is doing all around the world. With the support of over 600 host churches and thousands of volunteers, we were able to crown thousands of honored guests with disabilities as Kings and Queens in more countries across the globe than ever before...46! I am so humbled by what the Lord did this year, and so encouraged and excited to think of all He will do in the future." - Tim Tebow
Night to Shine was created in 2015 as a worldwide prom for people with special needs, ages 14 and older.
- This year, Night to Shine was hosted for more than 75,000 honored guests on February 10, by 622 churches across the U.S. and in 46 countries around the world.
- Tim Tebow was able to surprise volunteers and guests at three different Night to Shine locations:
- Tim and his wife Demi, accompanied by several generous and faithful supporters of Night to Shine, encouraged the guests and volunteers, cheering and dancing along as the honored guests made their way down the red carpet in style, and shared the message of God's love with all involved.
- Hundreds of thousands of volunteers have helped make Night to Shine 2023 possible.
More form Tim Tebow: "I am also thrilled that Demi and I were able to travel to the Philippines to kick off Night to Shine 2023, a country where our mission to serve the most vulnerable people truly began. It’s such a special place to my family and me, and somewhere the foundation has been able to be a part of truly life-changing ministry.
On this special night, every host church and every volunteer in those 46 countries said 'yes' to a night where we could come together and celebrate the love of Jesus for all His children. As we look forward to Night to Shine 2024, we hope that even more churches will answer the call and that more countries will join us in this worldwide movement to honor and value people with disabilities! Together, we will continue to pursue the mission He has set before us, and, by His grace, continue to reach more and more people around the world with Faith, Hope and Love!”
From an Event Coordinator at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson, Missouri:
"A guest pulled me aside as he took a break from the dance floor. He asked me to sit with him, and as tears welled up in his eyes, he wanted to thank me, from the bottom of his heart, for putting on Night to Shine. He said that this is one of the only nights he feels like he can spend time with all his friends in the same place and truly live!"
From a Volunteer at Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Warsaw, Indiana:
"The Kings and Queens of Night to Shine are the purest expressions of God's love. God is love, and as pure love, He is always inclusive. He loves us, and pursues us daily with that love. Last night, I was surrounded by people who love BIG and love well."
From a Parent and Caregiver at Seymour Christian Church in Seymour, Indiana:
"What an amazing night. I have devoted my entire adult life to the special needs community, honoring the memory of my special needs daughter, who passed away 30 years ago at the age of 2. I attended as a caregiver and accompanied four of my clients, who are like family to me. It was the most amazing night honoring those heroes. I saw so many smiles, happiness, laughter, and fellowship through the love of Jesus. I was brought to tears when they were all crowned kings and queens of the prom. The support of the volunteers was amazing, from the people registering to the make-up, the shoe shine to the paparazzi, the buddies, the ones handing out flowers, and the people who prepped the food and served it to the ones behind the scenes. You could see God's hand at work. Thank you to the Tim Tebow Foundation for loving our special needs community. I am humbled!"
