Jeanice Lee talks to the Board Chair with Birthline of San Diego, Mary Bones. Bones shares the story of how they were started in 1979 by a woman who wanted to help moms walk in their crisis or time of need from conception to kindergarten. Bones says they provide services to vulnerable young families who need a little extra physical support in the way of material goods, referrals, counseling, and a friend to come alongside of them. These are moms who may have a change in marital status, homeless, singe parents, or unemployed. Services are offered in Spanish. (BirthlineofSanDiego.org)
