Peter Kaye speaks with Robert Poulin of North Country Center for Independent Living about their mission of helping people with disabilities to live more independent and healthy lives. Poulin credits his mother as he shares his amazing story of being born legally blind and learning the value of work at an early age by having his own paper route. He even worked construction for a roofing company on his way to getting a master’s in education. Poulin emphasizes the importance of advocacy and discusses the ways that NCCI does just that for its members especially through the long term ombudsman program for seniors.
