Jeanice Lee talks to Jeanne Lujan Torres, Executive Director of Guide Dogs of Hawai’i. Blind Dogs of Hawai’i serves the visually impaired and blind of all ages across the state of HI. Lujan Torres shares the role of a guide dog and the different tasks they perform. Lujan Torres says their programs help people maintain their jobs, build social skills, provide technology, techniques, activities, and build community amongst others who face the same challenges while helping people live an independent and self-sufficient life.
