Peter Kaye speaks with Robbie Cartmill from The Teaching Kitchen – a free 12-week training program for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the food industry. Cartmill gives a virtual tour of the facility and walks us through their hands-on program as students learn food preparation, cooking techniques, soft skills and more. He shares student success stories as well as feed back from graduates as well as their employers. Cartmill discusses the demand for culinary jobs in the Boston area and the importance of constantly learning and honing your skills to succeed in a career in the food service industry.
