Jack Church talks with Amy Beros, President and CEO for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. Beros says that food insecurity continues to increase across North Carolina as well as the entire nation. She said the Food Bank through dozens of partner agencies is able to provide food to over one half million people that includes over 103 million meals in a 34 county area of North Carolina. Beros said the Food Bank has been able to keep up despite the demand and has plans in place to continue to future needs. She also stressed that much of the work is done through volunteers and she encouraged people who are interested to get in touch with them as the need for volunteers is always present.
