Dr. Smith says they are a multifaceted organization whose main goal is to lead unsheltered people towards housing and financial stabilization. They provide stability through case management and work force development, while layering in resources such as financial education. They provide safe parking lots which allows people to shelter in their vehicles overnight. They established the first City of San Diego’s Safe Sleeping Program, which offers safe, legal camping space as an alternative to traditional shelters for people experiencing homelessness.
