Pastor David Wheeler from Covington, Georgia is restoring old vehicles, while sharing his faith on YouTube. Wheeler’s RevStoration channel is not only picking up viewers but is restoring people’s faith in Christ.
“I hope we’re able to restore a few old Fords, but without a shadow of a doubt, I’d like to see the Lord Jesus restore a whole bunch more lives.”
The tagline of the channel is, ‘Giving life to dead things.’ Wheeler believes RevStoration has become an “open door for the Gospel to be heard by so many others that may have never heard the story of Jesus; the restoration that He can bring in their life just as He brought in ours.”
Wheeler admits most viewers aren’t necessarily looking for spiritual support when they visit RevStoration. Nevertheless, the channel has opened the door to conversation, many people asking questions about faith.
And is his efforts are paying off. Wheeler says he’s seen people join the church and even had the opportunity of baptizing individuals and heard of others who’ve come to faith just by watching him and his father restore cars online.
“Maybe this will be a video that will touch the heart of someone, and the Lord will use that as a catalyst to bring them to new life in Jesus Christ.” Wheeler says, for him, the most beautiful things is not restoring old cars to showroom quality, but “seeing someone who was lost, dead and dying come to new life in Jesus Christ.”
