Entrepreneur and philanthropist Stephen J. Cloobeck donated another $250,000 to the Los Angeles Dream Center earlier this month. His donation will be critical for funding the Dream Center’s Family Floor, which serves as a refuge for hundreds of Los Angeles families battling poverty and housing insecurity every year.
“I truly believe in what the Dream Center stands for, and I make it a point to support their efforts whenever I can,” said Cloobeck, the founder, CEO, and former Chairman of Diamond Resorts International. “The incredible changes I see happening in people’s lives as a result of their work, especially with programs like the Family Floor, inspire me to donate every year.”
“The generosity of friends like Stephen help keep our doors open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for anyone and everyone in desperate need of a comeback,” said Dream Center co-founder Matthew Barnett. “Our Family Floor provides a vital service to the community, and I’m grateful we can depend on Stephen. What a blessing he has been to the people of Los Angeles.”
Cloobeck has now donated a total of $750,000 to the Los Angeles Dream Center over the years. The Dream Center, founded in 1991, is a faith-based nonprofit organization serving individuals battling addiction, victims escaping abuse, former inmates in need of rehabilitation, and many others facing financial and mental health crises.
The Los Angeles Dream Center is a faith-based non-profit organization located in Echo Park, dedicated to transforming lives and underserved communities in the city of Los Angeles. By offering residential and outreach programs to individuals, families and communities in the areas of homelessness, hunger, poverty, addiction, domestic violence, education, and human trafficking, the Dream Center is committed to enabling immediate and long-term transformation. The Dream Center welcomes those in need into our community completely free-of-charge with the resources, training, and support they need, regardless of faith, age, gender, orientation, nationality, or any other defining factor.
