When restaurant (DV8 Kitchen in Lexington, Kentucky) owners Rob and Diane Perez found out about the devastation their friends at Addiction Recovery Care had suffered after the flooding in Kentucky, they knew they had to step into action.

"Our hearts are with everyone in Eastern Kentucky affected by the flooding. We are thinking and praying for everyone." Rob says.

DV8 Kitchen is all about all about second-chance employment. They employ people who are in the first stages of addiction recovery. The owners of DV8 understand how it is often difficult for people in early sobriety to find employers who are willing to take a chance on them.

Rob explains, "DV8 has connected with ARC in Spring Hill, KY, which is a center for men in Letcher County, Kentucky. Their counseling services building has been destroyed and the residents and employees have been displaced. Many of ARC's employees in that region have been significantly impacted with loss and damages to homes, vehicles and other property. In order to help, starting Wednesday, August 3, we will be selling our Appalachian Hot Brown in both of our locations for $11. We are donating the profits to ARC Spring Hill with the goal of raising $1800."
