We’re honored that a Pennsylvania family named their dog K-LOVE!
Sadly, the family isn’t able to keep him.
Lois Gadek, president of Animals in Distress, based in Coopersburg, told us by email, that the Boxer/Lab mix turning 4 years old February 13th (Valentine's Day Eve) “got his name because the people who had him thought that he brought a lot of love into their lives, as they did into his. When the father and son dropped him off at our sanctuary, they were both crying. He was given up because of an emergency situation and not because he was unloved.” The family also shared that they listen to K-LOVE, so the name just worked. Lois shares, “Our choice to run him [as an adoption pet available] this Valentine’s Day, of the 350 to 400 animals in our shelter, seemed the most appropriate.”
Please join us in praying that K-LOVE finds a forever family – and that the many other animals at the shelter could be blessed by a new home, too. And take a look at the loving care the shelter offers. Also, remember the family that gave him up, that God would help in whatever their personal needs are.
Here’s the video report from WFMZ-TV that first introduced us to the furry K-LOVE.
About Animals in Distress:
Animals In Distress is a non-profit, tax deductible sanctuary for animals who have little or no hope elsewhere. Our programs are designed to prevent suffering and to save lives. We believe that there is a special home somewhere for every pet if there is enough time to find it. We keep every animal admitted, providing medical care, behavioral rehabilitation, good food, shelter, and most important of all, love, until a suitable new home can be found. No animal is killed because it is unwanted, too old, or injured.
