Amy Grant, the longtime Contemporary-Christian artist, was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday after she crashed her bicycle while riding with a friend. The singer, who was wearing a helmet, hasn’t suffered any major injuries.

She was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center’s emergency room after suffering some cuts and abrasions. It appears she was admitted as a precaution.

Grant is in stable condition, and she stayed overnight at the hospital as a precaution, the spokesperson says. She will stay Thursday night as well for observation and treatment, according to People.

The incident comes two years after the star, who is married to singer Vince Gill, underwent open-heart surgery to correct a rare condition with which she was born, but only discovered at a check-up.

Recently, Grant was nominated as one of this year's Kennedy Center honorees, for influencing American culture through the arts.

Grant said in an Instagram post, “Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine ever receiving this prestigious Kennedy Center Honor. Through the years I’ve watched so many of my heroes serenaded by colleagues and fellow artists, always moved by the ability of music and film to bring us together and to see the best in each other. I cannot wait to celebrate with my fellow honorees, friends and family. Thank you for widening the circle to include all of us.”

Kennedy Center President Deborah F. Rutter said the honor is “not about one work that happens to be popular this year. Or one movie. Or one piece of choreography." It's "about lifetime achievement.”
