New Song Feature: "Goodbye Yesterday" Elevation Rhythm

“Goodbye Yesterday,” the newest single from Elevation Worship’s incubation group Elevation Rhythm, perfectly reflects the new life we find in Jesus.

Band member Joshua Holiday says, “‘Goodbye Yesterday’ is our salvation anthem, full of hope and expectation for living in the light of a new day.”

Holiday penned and produced the single alongside Steven Furtick, Mitch Wong and guest vocalist Gracie Binion, a newcomer who formerly recorded under MDSN.

The celebratory tune starts with an upbeat, drum-laden introduction that quickly transitions into lyrics praising Jesus's saving power.

“Goodbye yesterday, I’m living in the light of a new day. I won’t waste another minute in my old ways. Praise the Lord I’ve been born again.”

With a refrain of “I have decided to follow Jesus” interspersed throughout, the song illustrates the transformational effect of a personal relationship with Jesus.

So say hello to a new day with this upbeat, encouraging song because it’s time to leave the past behind…and leap into the arms of our Savior!
