We The Kingdom brings a vibe on “Won’t He Do It,” the collective’s first radio offering without former frontwoman Franni Rae Cash Cain, who exited the group at the end of 2023. The party-starting single is guaranteed to swiftly get you moving within the first few seconds of the song’s arresting harmonies that head straight into a jangly piano intro.

“Won’t He do it?” the multigenerational band poses as a question. The answer is immediate and resolute: “Yes, He will!” The instantly memorable call-and-response chorus that speaks of God’s certain faithfulness is only upstaged by the track’s infectious melody — a funky, retro amalgamation of piano, guitar, bass, drums and even a hint of brass — punctuated by layer after layer of stacked harmonies. On the road, Jamiah Hudson has been assuming Franni’s parts, and she leads those sweet R&B harmonies on “Won’t He Do It.”

“The heart behind this song is just the faithfulness of God,” shares the band’s patriarch Ed Cash, who commands lead vocals on the groove-laden original. “He is such a good God; and when you’re walking through that fire, man, when you’re walking through troubles, it is so great to remember the faithfulness of God over our shoulders as a reminder of what He’s going to be doing in the future. So, we hope this song brings you a lot of encouragement wherever you are in your life.”

We The Kingdom just dropped a live iteration of “Won’t He Do It” on “33,” a six-song EP that commemorates 33 years of sobriety for Cash. Featuring live recordings of fresh cuts, as well as a new version of fan favorite “Jesus Does,” “33” is a celebration of God’s faithfulness to break the chains of addiction as much as it is a preview of what’s to come from the acclaimed group.

The family band will continue to give fans a glimpse into the new music they’ve been cooking up in the studio on this fall’s “The Awakening Tour,” also set to feature Casting Crowns, Mac Powell, Katy Nichole, Terrian and David Leonard. Afterwards, We The Kingdom will embark on Air1’s “Worship Now Tour.”
