Fans officially declared Lauren Daigle the 2023 K-LOVE Fan Awards Female Artist of the Year. The accolade marks Daigle’s sixth Female Artist win and ninth K-LOVE Fan Award win overall. Daigle, of course, is no stranger to winning awards, but when K-LOVE DJ Lauree asked her what made the K-LOVE Fan Awards different from other award shows, without hesitation, she replied, “The fans — a thousand percent… It’s so much fun to see how much joy they get out of these events and these evenings. It puts so much fuel in the tank.
“I love what we get to do,” she added, while doing press on the red carpet. “This is so special.”
During this year’s K-LOVE Fan Awards Weekend, Daigle participated in Saturday night’s beloved Songwriters Showcase, where she shared the stage with members of MercyMe and host Steven Curtis Chapman. With an assist from a keyboardist, Daigle rendered intimate versions of signature hit “You Say,” brand new track “Waiting” and emotive single “Rescue,” respectively. She introduced all three original songs with special stories about each selection, highlighting the significant role listeners have played in the life of her music.

After sharing a humorous anecdote about her mom only letting her listen to Chapman’s 1999 album, “Speechless,” while doing her third grade homework, the CCM legend strapped on a different guitar and dedicated a rendition of “Dive” — the LP’s most iconic track — to Daigle.
Ahead of her nationwide “Kaleidoscope Tour,” scheduled to hit 30 cities this fall, the Louisiana native dropped part one of her self-titled third studio effort just weeks in advance of this year’s K-LOVE Fan Awards.
Later in the telecast on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the colorful vocalist brought the album’s lead single, “Thank God I Do,” live to the Fan Awards stage alongside co-writer Jason Ingram, who also helped her craft six-time Platinum-certified “You Say.” She’ll release the second half of her 20-song self-titled double album later this year.
