Earning their very first K-LOVE Fan Award, Elevation Worship picked up a Group of the Year win at the 11th annual event. Primary singer and songwriter Chris Brown accepted the trophy on behalf of the collective, who stewards the main musical expression of Elevation Church based in Charlotte, N.C. During his humble speech, Brown affirmed the group’s heart for both the local and global church, visibly surprised by the honor.
Elevation Worship is no stranger to awards, having previously amassed seven GMA Dove Awards and a GRAMMY® Award for “Old Church Basement,” their collaborative album with Maverick City Music.
Their latest accolade comes as their megawatt single, “Praise,” continues to top multiple charts across the Christian format. An unexpected hit, the massive anthem closes their critically acclaimed project, “CAN YOU IMAGINE?” The multi-week No. 1 was penned by an all-star cast that includes Brown, Elevation Worship visionary and pastor Steven Furtick, Brandon Lake, Chandler Moore, Cody Carnes and Pat Barrett. Brown, Lake and Moore helm lead vocals on the original recording. Backed by a choir of voices from their church, the group concluded this year’s K-LOVE Fan Awards with an energetic performance of “Praise,” which was also nominated for both Worship Song of the Year and Song of the Year.
Elevation Worship’s multi-year “Elevation Nights” tour set attendance records when it became one of the largest tours in Christian music. They’ll take their “Praise Party!” to select outdoor venues this summer, followed by another highly anticipated “Elevation Nights” run in the fall. Additionally, they just announced a special one-night-only event at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium set for Aug. 5, 2024.
Constantly working on new music, the award-winning outfit has been hinting at an upcoming record by dropping fresh tracks over the course of the past few months. Recent releases include “Sure Been Good,” “All of a Sudden” and “Another One.”
