In previous years, film and television have been combined into one impactful category for fans to vote on, but television gets its own category in 2024. The five diverse nominees in the inaugural Television Series Impact bracket reflect the wide influence faith-based shows are having on popular streaming platforms. From following one of your favorite family musical trios to following a fictional group of brave siblings on screen, these nominees showcase everything from real-life family bonds to fantastic, other-worldly adventures. Additional nominated projects navigate sobering topics like loss, grief, caregiving, the justice system and even the hard truth about life in Hollywood — all through a lens of faith. “Chasing CAIN”
On “Chasing CAIN,” Madison, Taylor and Logan Cain — otherwise known as sibling trio CAIN — offer fans a behind-the-scenes look at their life both on and off the stage. With cameras following them around as they craft their sophomore project, “Jesus Music,” rehearse for their first headlining tour and prep for their Grand Ole Opry debut, the reality series — exclusive to the TBN app — gives fans a glimpse into the hard work that goes into keeping a family band together.
“Eleanor’s Bench”
After the death of her mother, Eleanor Thomas — played by Karen Abercrombie, who fans will recognize as “War Room’s” Miss Clara — moves home to inner-city Washington, D.C., to care for her terminally-ill father. When she takes a position as a juvenile court judge, she’s faced with challenging decisions that affect the futures of her friends and neighbors. The Great American Pure Flix series also stars Cameron Arnett from the Kendrick Brothers’ upcoming film, “The Forge.”
“Going Home” (Season 2)
Great American Pure Flix drama “Going Home” follows both the personal and professional storylines of a team of hospice nurses who care for people in the last moments of their life. In Season 2 of the emotional series, main character Charley Copeland (Cynthia Geary) navigates a personal loss of her own; Nurse Janey (Cozi Zuehlsdorff) meets a possible love interest; and Nurse Tamara (Aviona Rodriguez Brown) faces unexpected health challenges.
“Jonathan & Jesus”
Four-episode docuseries “Jonathan & Jesus” explores the backstory of actor Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus in “The Chosen.” The in-depth documentary-style series looks at Roumie’s career leading up to being cast in the wildly popular television show, his current life as a Hollywood star, the evolution of his personal faith and the impact “The Chosen” is having around the world.
“The Wingfeather Saga”
Based on the fantasy novels written by singer/songwriter Andrew Peterson, “The Wingfeather Saga” follows the fictional Igiby children as they uncover surprising secrets about their family’s past, discover their unique superpowers and defeat evil with the strength of faith, hope and love. Now in its second season, the Angel Studios animated series is geared toward young children as it harnesses the thrill of adventure and the power of imagination.
