This summer, Skip & Amy set out on an ambitious road trip with one mission in mind — to meet every listener. The K-LOVE morning show hosts invited a few artist friends — We The Kingdom and Danny Gokey — along for the ride. Together, they made stops in nearly a dozen cities across the U.S. over the course of two weeks. The duo brought an exclusive meet & greet to each town they visited, as well as plenty of snacks and a free concert for the community. Here’s a look at K-LOVE’s inaugural “Meet Every Listener Tour” by the numbers:

For those doing the math, that’s a lot of necks hugged, hands shaken, stories told, pictures snapped and songs sung — far more, in fact, than we can count. While on the road, Skip & Amy got a small taste of artist life: traveling by bus, sleeping in bunks and soundchecking in each venue. Meanwhile, We The Kingdom treated the DJs to their secret family recipe for french toast, passed down through multiple Cash family generations; and Gokey tried (unsuccessfully) to recruit the on-air talent to sing some BGVs.
“God’s doing some amazing things in people’s lives, and it’s time for us to hear their stories face to face,” Skip remarked as the tour bussed out of Nashville. “I never get tired of hearing people share their stories of what this ministry’s done for them.”
The fan-centric trek kicked off July 12, 2023, in Oklahoma City before heading to Waco, Austin and San Antonio, Texas — with We The Kingdom in tow. The first leg of the outing concluded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on July 16. The following week, Gokey helped Skip & Amy resume their tour in Indianapolis on July 21. Canton, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Scotch Plains, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C. followed before wrapping up in Charlotte, North Carolina, on July 26.
“Meeting Amy and Skip made my summer! Everyone was so kind, and we had a wonderful time! Thank you, K-LOVE,” said one listener from New Jersey. Another fan shared their gratitude after Skip & Amy stopped in their city: “It was such a pleasure to meet you both yesterday! It was such a blessing. Thank you for taking the time to meet the people you talk to every day. We feel like we know you already. It was wonderful to give you both a hug and say ‘thanks.’”
Along the way, Skip & Amy did a little sightseeing, stopping at the famous Joe’s Pizza in the Big Apple for a classic New York slice, posing for pics in front of the Washington Monument in our nation’s capital and even touring the Alamo down on San Antonio’s iconic River Walk, among other attractions.
When listeners were asked to vote on a 12th and final destination, Boston, Mass., rose to the occasion. The additional fan-voted “Meet Every Listener” date will be announced soon.
“The family of K-LOVE, the listeners, are incredible; waiting in line for hours in the heat,” Amy said of the more than 16,000 listeners they met. “Thank you for coming! This is what it’s all about!”
