Wendy Hofheimer Francisco and Mary Rice Hopkins met at a camp in Southern California while they were in college. They shared a love of horses and music and began a lifelong friendship. The duo was signed to Sparrow Records, and recorded three albums together from 1979 till 1982. Wendy and Mary would go their separate ways in '85 when Wendy married Don Francisco and began recording solo projects. Mary became a children’s writer, penning hundreds of songs and several children’s books. The two would reunite in 1995 to release a collection of their most popular songs.
