Originally named 'Ox', this Hawaiian band became known as 'Seawind' in 1976 when they moved from the islands to Los Angeles. The move to the mainland was due, in large part, to Harvey Mason. He got them a regular gig at the 'Baked Potato' in Studio City, CA, just north of Hollywood. Mason also got them a recording contract with CTI and two albums quickly followed (in '76 & '77). Extensive touring delayed the next two albums until 1979 & 1980. The breakup of the band occurred in 1982.
